SHANE SMITH
Take a look and have a listen.
I have always been drawn to telling stories that focus on subjects like art, history and the natural world. As a storyteller, I’m currently working on several projects, all of which will be included in this portfolio. I am always looking for new and rewarding opportunities through which to grow and develop my career in filmmaking, so please get in touch with any questions or if you have an interesting project in mind.
About
I am a filmmaker, videographer and documentary cinematographer based in Navan. I strive to create engaging, immersive and sensory films with a specific interest in art, history, folklore and the natural world.
I approach each project with passion and curiosity, and I seek to make films that explore the beautiful and unique aspects of human creativity and our interaction with natural history, mythology and storytelling.
I bring my singular visual sensibilities to each project, be it a personal documentary or a promotional campaign.
My recent short documentary, Mosaic, made the Official Selection of the Louth International Film Festival.
My first narrative short film,The Last Days of My House, is currently on the Festival circuit, screening at festivals such as Boyne Valley International Film Festival, The Underground Cinema Film Festival and the Louth International Film Festival.
